What is Quantum entanglement?

Quantum entanglement is a term of Quantum mechanics that means two or more energy particles (such as protons or electrons) can be interacted or generated in such a way that the motion of one particle can be predicted by observing the motion of another.

For instance, if one particle is spinning upwards then the other particle can be predicted to be spinning downwards.
