Did You Know That There's A Starbucks Cup In Every Shot In The Movie Fight Club?
Did you notice that there is a Starbucks cup visible in every shot in the Fight Club!
Be it Edward Norton's scene at his office or the destruction and chaos after the fire; you can find a Starbucks cup everywhere. If you did not notice it, you must have heard about it in the interview with the film director himself.
David Fincher shared the story of his inspiration, or rather the craze with Starbucks that he included a cup in every shot of his film.
Fincher, who had moved to Los Angeles in 1984, could not find any good coffee place, but as the first Starbucks opened in the city, his coffee needs were fulfilled. It was not just a coffee shop, but Starbucks first outlet was the one that became a huge success. Soon, there were Starbucks outlets in every block of the city.
If you remember the movie, there is a scene where a coffee shop gets destructed. Initially, Fincher wanted to show that coffee place to be Starbucks, but the outlet did not allow the creators to portray Starbucks as the outlet that gets destroyed. However, they agreed to give them the rest of their stuff, including those Starbucks cups.
Fincher also clarified that a Starbucks cup is not there in every frame, but it is visible in almost every scene or a shot of the Fight Club. So, the next time you watch the movie, make sure to look for the cups and notice this yourself.
